Job Description:
Always looking for Experienced Security and Fire System Techs for both residential and commercial. Alarm Installation/Service Technicians with qualified industry experience in wiring, installing and programming life safety systems. Equipment knowledge must include fire alarms, intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, Networking.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Service & Installation of Fire Systems
NICET Certification a plus

• Require 2 years of industry experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must have clean driving record
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Must be able to maintain records, by documenting installation
• Must be able to turn in and complete Service Tickets timely
• Must be drug free pass drug screening
• Must pass criminal background check
Responsibilities:
The primary function of the Technician is to Service and Install Security Systems for both Residential and Commercial Customers. To make sure the Customer’s experience is a positive one and fulfils the expectation of Excellent Service.

Steps in Communication of Service Calls and Jobs

1. Service Calls: The Tech will be schedule for various Service calls throughout the day and week.
• Each Technician will check at the end of his day his Field Service Unit to see what calls he has for the next day.
• Each Technician will be on time to his first appointment each morning.
• When arriving at the work site – Hit Arrive on FSU and Open Ticket
• If a Technician is going to be late to his next job or cannot make the next job, he is responsible for communicating this to the CSR, so the customer maybe contacted.
• The Tech will call each of his customers prior to his arrival and confirm with the customer their arrival time.
• Trouble shoot and assess problems and issues the system may be experiencing.
• Determine if parts are needed for repairs or if a new system should be recommended.
• Install equipment as needed for repairs
• If there is a signal problem, before leaving make sure the panels are communicating signals properly to and from the Central Station
• When leaving a work site on the way to another customer choose Dispatch on FSU
• Close Service Tickets - Daily
o Once Service is completed Choose “Resolution” as to what was done, make notes indicate parts used to be billed and any other notes pertinent to CSR. Then Choose “Resolve”
o If it is determined that a “Go Back” is needed this is to be indicated on Service Ticket along with notes indicating the reason for the “Go Back” and any parts that are needed to complete the Service.
2. Jobs: Are handled the same as Service Tickets, except the Technician needs to notify the CSR when the job is complete.
• Make sure the New Customer is set up at the Central Station and signals are being sent and received.
• Responsible for making sure all pertinent Customer information is given to the Central Station for the proper dispatching of Emergency Personnel.
• Once the job is finished, the CSR is to be notified immediately for Closing the Job and billing

3. Other Duties and Job requirements
• Each Technician is required to be Licensed by the Mississippi State Fire Marshall
• Each Technician is responsible for 24 hours CEU every 2 years to keep their License current
• Give telephone support for both CSRs and Customers on Technical issues
• Train Customers on the use of Key Fobs and Smart Phone Apps pertaining to their Systems
• Communicate effectively changes needed to the Central Station
• Communicate effectively with the Sales Team and CSRs
• Attend all Tech Meetings
• Selling upgrades and/or add on equipment
• Perform Fire and Sprinkler Inspections
• Each Technician will be required to be “On Call” on a Rotating Schedule as determined by the Service Manager
• Maintain proper maintenance of Company Vehicles, report any issues immediately to Management
• Maintain a clean Driving Record
• No personal use of Company Vehicles or other Company Equipment

Other Duties and Job Requirements-Continued
• Each Technician understands and accepts that GPS tracking is used in our Company Vehicles to determine the location of Company Vehicles, and to determine arrival and departure times from work sites.
• Under no Circumstances will a Technician ever use his Personal Vehicle to report to a work site.
• Proper use of Company Credit Car
o No personal purchases
o Purchase gas for only Company Vehicles
o Keep all receipts for purchases
o All Credit Card purchases will be receipt matched
• Responsible for the Well-Being of Company Equipment
o iPad
o Cell Phones
o FSU
• Read Open Service Ticket Report to timely close Tickets
• Read Open Job Report to timely close Jobs
• Other Duties assigned by Management or Owners
